Laura Iglesias

Laura Iglesias joined TV20 as a reporter in January 2026. She graduated from Florida International University in December 2025 with a degree in Television and Broadcasting and a minor in Hospitality.

During her time at FIU, Laura was actively involved with Caplin News, the university’s fully student-run newsroom. She worked as a reporter and anchor for both the English and Spanish broadcasts, as well as the sports show. One of her most influential experiences was her internship at WSVN Channel 7, where she gained firsthand insight into the pace and responsibility of a professional newsroom and the impact strong journalism can have.

Laura’s passion for reporting and community storytelling brought her to Gainesville. She is driven by the goal of connecting with local communities and becoming a trusted source of information for viewers, and she looks forward to doing that work with the TV20 team.

Outside of reporting, Laura enjoys shopping, discovering new places to eat, and spending time with her family and close friends.
